Blog: Bedding Conference 2022 — Live and In-Person


After what seems like an eternity and a million questions about when another in-person encounter might happen, we’re back.

I’m excited to share that Furniture Today’s 2022 Bedding Conference – the industry’s bedding conference – will return to Florida this spring.

The Bedding Conference turns 17 this year: seventeen years of uniting industry thought leaders; 17 years of engaging content service filled with dynamic speakers, educational panels; and 17 years of fantastic networking. From the conversations I’ve had over the past year, the industry’s must-attend event has been missed. We are a gathering group and we all crave good old-fashioned networking and camaraderie.

So let’s do this.

Scheduled for May 18-20 at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate in Orlando, Florida, the event will give attendees insight into ways to connect and build stronger bonds with consumers in the highly competitive bedding market. This industry is great for making connections; it’s one of my favorite features among retailers, manufacturers, and suppliers moving through the category.

These connections keep us grounded, make us competitive, and push us all to do better. Building those connections with consumers so they come back for future purchases and recommending stores and products to friends and family is pure gold.

Our theme this year as we come together – did I mention we’re going back to a live stage? – is “Cultivating Consumers”. The success of our industry, for both retailers and manufacturers, lies in the relationship established with consumers over time. By building and cultivating these relationships through meaningful marketing, conversations, merchandising and more, retailers can create customers for life.

Our keynote speaker is Scott Deming, an author and customer service expert, who will kick off the event with a keynote on “Creating the Ultimate Customer Experience”. Not only is Deming a customer service expert, but he also carries a bag full of employee relations expertise that will fill our attendees’ toolboxes with tangible takeaways for easy implementation.

“There is no correlation between a satisfied customer and a loyal customer,” says Deming. “A satisfied customer will stay with you until the next best offer comes along.” During his keynote, Deming will offer the main ways to turn happy customers into loyal customers.

In addition to Deming, we have a number of speakers and panelists lined up to inspire, educate and get us thinking about how to better connect with consumers and build long-term relationships that drive revenue.
