Family pays tribute to ‘loving mother’ killed after Leyland crash

The family of a woman who died following an accident in Leyland paid tribute to her.

Sarah Giffin-Smith, 32, died after her Audi A1 left the road and collided with a lamppost and a tree in West Paddock.

Emergency services attended around 11:20 p.m. Wednesday, October 12.

Sarah, from Leyland, was treated by the North West Ambulance Service. She was taken to Royal Preston Hospital where she sadly passed away yesterday.

In a tribute, Sarah’s family said: “Sarah was a loving mother of two sons and we are all devastated by her untimely passing.

“She loved life and she took full advantage of it. After a 10-year career in the military, Sarah was training as a paramedic. We will miss her terribly. »

Sarah’s family is supported by specially trained officers.

A South Ribble Police spokesperson said: ‘Our investigations into the collision are continuing and I would ask any witnesses to please contact us as soon as possible.
