Get your weekly dose of online writing with Gerry Boland

Local author and poet, Gerry Boland, has announced details of his New Year’s online writing workshops.

Gerry Boland, who ran a popular writing workshop every Saturday at The Dock in Carrick-on-Shannon before Covid, has moved his workshops online.

“I really enjoy the online courses,” says Gerry. “I miss physical dating, of course, but most people have adapted to Zoom and other online platforms and are reasonably familiar with on-screen dating. A huge advantage is that anyone living in Dublin or Cork, London or Berlin, New York or Toronto, can take one of my courses. This kind of local and international mix brings a whole new dimension to the workshops. I love it!’

You can register for up to 10 two-hour creative writing workshops over a ten-week period, starting in late January, ending in early April, hosted and hosted by poet and author, Gerry Boland, it includes off-screen writing time, writing prompts and discussions. There will also be prose reading and analysis. The course takes place on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. as well as Monday evenings. Course fees: 80 €
