KATHIE’S KORNER – Writing about what’s to come
Posted at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2022
As an author and columnist for our local newspaper, I am so looking forward to writing, hopefully, an encouraging, uplifting, sometimes humorous article that you can reflect on and sometimes incorporate into your life. If you desire it.
My husband and I are so looking forward to: the weather this fall, pumpkins to put alongside our Scarecrow Girl (who has a smile on her face) while she hangs on our fence, maybe a piece of hay and flowers that beautify any place. , our fire bowls and fireplaces positioned and ready to light with kindling and matches, sweatshirts, jackets and gloves and let’s not forget Candy Corn!
It’s a great time of year as I start collecting the Christmas gifts I know from watching our friends and family move around. We can see fun ideas for them, always planning ahead.
I’m trying to make a list, even, of what we need to do early. This will avoid the pressure and stress of all the activities around us.
I prefer to pressure myself with the Word from within. It can eliminate some things that suddenly don’t seem so important.
So enjoy this fall and all the weather. Everything belongs to God. And pray for his plan for us.
