In addition to household items and food kits, the St. Louis Area Foodbank will distribute COVID-19 tests during its next distribution next week.
Those in need can visit the food bank’s “Food on the Move” truck at Rock Road Tube Station, 7001 St. Charles Rock Road, to receive rapid antigen test kits, food and household items on January 18 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Masks are mandatory if you plan to visit, and if you feel sick, the organization asks that you send someone else to collect the test for you.
St. Louis is seeing a record number of hospitalizations and case numbers as tests have been hard to come by — especially as some sites come under fire for their reliability. The food bank said in a press release that it was “pleased to give these tests to the community, especially at a time when they are in dire need and in short supply.”
Testing is limited to four kits per household and is only available on a first-come, first-served basis.
