Here’s what happens on the first Friday in March:

POP-UP CLEANING: 10 a.m.-12 p.m., join Erik Bell in a family pop-up cleaning from EC Hughes Playground (29/Holden). Our calendar list contains details on how to participate, for all or part.

MAYOR FOR PUBLIC SECURITY: Mayor Bruce Harrel plans a speech on public safety collaboration at 10:30 a.m., joined by agencies working on it, federal, state, county and city. You can watch live via Seattle Canal.

CABERNET TASTING: 4-6 p.m., visit West Seattle Liquors and Wines (4714 42nd SW; WSB sponsor) to taste Cabernets from around the world, as previewed here.

MAGIC LEAGUE AFTER SCHOOL: the magic league is in session from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Meeples Games (3727 California SW) – details in our calendar.

DJ EVENING AT SPOT WEST SEATTLE: The Friday night DJ starts at 6 p.m. (2920 SW Avalon Way)

SCHOOL MUSIC SHOWCASE ON THE RADIO: Thanks to Dawn for the tip:

Tonight’s episode of NW Focus Live on Classical KING FM 98.1 will feature a group of Seattle-area music students and teachers. Joining in the discussion about their experiences with music education are Chief Band Manager Sealth Joey Robert and music student and Sealth junior Riley Tobin. Riley will also perform live on the show with the other student panelists. NW Focus Live airs Friday nights at 8 p.m.
